About Us

Girls like computer games too. Sometimes we like the same kinds of games as the boys (and thrash them!), sometimes we like different games. My name is Kimberley and this site brings together all the games that I think us girls will love to play. Girls like pink stuff too. It's so our brothers and Dads can't steal our stuff and claim it as their own. ...more.

4 out of 5 stars cute but sometimes problematic with internet and free software   June 28, 2010
Victor
I bought this for my wife and it is very cute and useful. Nevertheless, there seem to be some problems with internet. Whenever Skype is on use or McAfee or any other program updates, you cannot run any browser. So, you have to choose, talk with friends or surfing? I hope that this is just a problem of internet security or any other of the many programs that were on.
On that point, have in mind that some of these free software products are not free for ever and to try to find out what is happening with Office was a telephone nightmare.
Anyway, it is a very good choice and good value for money in general. Just have in mind that you will need to get a real Office package.

5 out of 5 stars Very good buy!   May 14, 2010

I had this product for my 19th Birthday, after reasearching into it as I have a desktop computer in university and needed something for when I visit home or go to the libary...or even work outdoors. So far this has been a very very good buy! I would totally recommend it to anyone, my friend has already purchased one and students do not part with their money quickly! Litterally take it anywhere, I am going travelling this summer and this is a deffinate for my bag! picks up internet really quickly and is impressively fast! The colour is not in your face and sophistocated and offers a girlie edge, and I am very glad I picked this instead of the white. Recommend it to everyone who has a desktop, as well as those looking for a laptop to surf the internet, all you have to do is get a memory stick to store information. The only snag is that windows office only lasts for 60 days so that is going to set you back around 100 pounds, unless you are a student but still can not fault it! Very happy customer!

4 out of 5 stars Great little netbook - just ditch the dreadful OS   May 11, 2010

I bought this for my wife a few months back and she loves it.
Hardware wise it's nice and light, but not flimsy feeling and the keyboard has reasonable travel.
The speakers are pretty feeble, but that seems to be par for the course with netbooks.
Battery life is quite good considering that the battery pack is so small.
I ditched the XP operating system in favour of Ubuntu Netbook Remix, which I have to say is leagues better and well designed for the low resolution screen.
The install process was painless using a USB memory stick.
This OS/hardware combination achieves everything that my wife wants to do, this mostly being browsing and watching MPEG2 videos from our server, which it handles with aplomb.
I find it pleasant to use too - it's great to have access to a decent portable machine for an occasional SSH session to my server from the sofa in the living room.

4 out of 5 stars good computer but low screen resolution   April 2, 2010

This is a great computer, and I really love it, but I have just discovered that the screen resolution is too low for using with my camera, there is a way round this but it means that you don't get to see the full screen in one go as normal, but have to scroll down, however it's a small price to pay for something so affordable and effectve

Got this for the wife's 30th birthday. It has decent battery life, is more than fast enough for it's purpose and well made.
