I purchased this model after reading rave reviews in laptop magazines which detailed the high quality screen; latest Windows 7 system installed; fast processing speeds and the basic robustness of the Vaio build. These plus in addition the battery, port connections and usual Sony quality in design have underlined the merits of making the purchase (putting into context, this is the only Windows laptop allowed in a house of several Apples!).

The use for a mix of work and part business when the need arises (my employer uses Microsoft only) have shown the item while not the most lightweight portable is a good deskbound workhorse which is fairly portable when the need arises.

The only downside when I purchased, was that only pink and black were available via Amazon. I was very keen on the red casing so ended up having to purachse via the Sony Vaio website to get the model I wanted. I am very glad I went with my colour preference!
